Itinerary

Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

The tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas begins with hotel pickups between 6:30 and 7:00 am, depending on the location of your hotel.

We will then head north from the city of Cusco for about 40 minutes until we reach Chinchero, the highest point of the tour (3,762 meters). Once we arrive at this picturesque location, we will visit the archaeological site. You will also have the option to see local people going about their daily life and visit textile and craft centers.

Next, we will continue to the next site, Moray. This place was an agricultural experimentation center, like a greenhouse for the Incas. This massive site is located in a natural geographical depression, making it very unique compared to other locations.

The next stop will be the village of Maras, where we will visit the Salt Mines. This site is something you can see in only a few places in the world. It features over 3,000 salt pools, which are still used by local people today using ancient techniques.

We will then continue to Urubamba, where we will have free time for lunch, before heading to Ollantaytambo, the largest city in the area. This place is known as the «Living Inca City.» Here, we will see local people descending from the highland communities to do their shopping.

Our final stop will be in Pisaq, another Inca city where we will find massive agricultural terraces stretching from the highest point down to the foot of the mountain, ceremonial water fountains, and various Inca structures.

We will return to Cusco (approximately 7:00 pm)
