Day 1: Arrival in Lima & City Tour
Welcome to Peru! Upon arrival in Lima, the “City of Kings,” enjoy a guided tour of its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at colonial-era architecture, the stunning Plaza Mayor, and the impressive catacombs of San Francisco Monastery.
Day 2: Paracas (Ballestas Islands) – Ica (Vineyards & Huacachina) – Overnight Bus to Arequipa
Start your adventure with a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, home to playful sea lions, penguins, and diverse bird species. Continue to Ica, where you’ll visit local vineyards and taste Peru’s famous Pisco. Wrap up the day with an unforgettable dune buggy ride and sandboarding experience in the desert oasis of Huacachina. Board an overnight bus to Arequipa.
Day 3: Arrival in Arequipa & City Tour
Explore Arequipa, the “White City,” with its stunning colonial buildings made of volcanic sillar stone. Visit the iconic Santa Catalina Monastery, the vibrant local markets, and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanoes.
Day 4: Full-Day Colca Canyon Tour – Transfer to Puno
Embark on a full-day journey to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world. Witness majestic Andean condors soaring overhead and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Andes. After a day of exploration, travel to Puno, the gateway to Lake Titicaca.
Day 5: Lake Titicaca Tour
Begin your day with a boat tour of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the floating Uros Islands, made entirely of reeds, and learn about the unique lifestyle of their inhabitants.
Day 6: Amantani & Taquile Islands – Return to Puno
Discover the serene beauty of Amantani and Taquile Islands, known for their vibrant culture, handwoven textiles, and stunning lake views. Spend the day interacting with locals and enjoying the tranquility of these islands before returning to Puno.
Day 7: Journey from Puno to Cusco – Route of the Sun
Travel from Puno to Cusco along the scenic Route of the Sun. Along the way, stop at fascinating archaeological sites, such as Raqchi and Pukara, and admire the stunning Andean landscapes.
Day 8: Cusco City Tour & Four Ruins
Discover the ancient capital of the Inca Empire! Explore Cusco’s iconic landmarks, including the Plaza de Armas, Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), and the four nearby archaeological sites: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay.
Day 9: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour – Train to Machu Picchu
Journey through the Sacred Valley, visiting Chinchero, Moray, and the Maras Salt Mines. Continue to Ollantaytambo, the “Living Inca City,” before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.
Day 10: Tour of Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
Experience the highlight of your trip with a guided tour of the iconic Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Learn about its history, marvel at its stunning architecture, and soak in the breathtaking views before returning to Cusco.
Day 11: Free Time in Cusco / Optional Tours
Enjoy a day at your leisure in Cusco. Explore local markets, indulge in Peruvian cuisine, or opt for additional tours, such as Rainbow Mountain or a cooking class.
Day 12: Farewell Transfer to Cusco Airport – Lima – Home
Bid farewell to Peru as we transfer you to Cusco Airport for your flight to Lima and onward to your home destination.
Fly back to Lima for an optional final dinner and night out.
