Pick-up & Departure (06:30 – 07:00 am)
We begin the Rainbow Mountain Tour Cusco with hotel pick-ups in the city. From there, we head south for about 1.5 hours to Cusipata, located at 3,332 masl, where we stop for a hearty breakfast.
Phulawasipata Viewpoint (4633 masl)
After breakfast, we continue by car for 1 hour to Phulawasipata, the starting point of our hike. From here, the adventure begins with a 1.5-hour trek covering 3.5 km to reach the summit. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of snowcapped Wiñayritty and the Puka Cocha lagoon.
Vinicunca – The Rainbow Mountain (5070 masl)
Arriving at Vinicunca, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the Mountain of Colors. Our guide will explain the cultural and natural significance of the site, and you’ll have free time to take photos or simply enjoy the scenery.
Optional Red Valley Extension
For those seeking even more adventure, the Red Valley viewpoint is just 20 minutes away (entrance fee applies). The deep red landscapes make this one of the most stunning hidden gems near Rainbow Mountain.
Return to Cusipata & Buffet Lunch
We descend back to Phulawasipata, where our vehicle awaits. Afterward, we enjoy a buffet lunch in Cusipata before heading back to Cusco. Arrival is approximately 6:00 pm.
